Club Charity Policy
Supporting the Local Community
Over the years, many good causes and charities have benefited from an involvement with Llantwit Major AFC, raising thousands of pounds.
In 2010, for the first time, the club decided to identify an official local/regional charities to support. Throughout the season, the club's Foundation works closely with these charities to develop strong relationships, implement activity, and promote these important organisations and initiatives where possible.
As a professional sports organisation, we are regularly contacted by charities asking for support, such as bucket collections, events or donations. Due to the large number of requests, the club is not always able to assist every charity appeal. The official status approach allows the club to invest more time with the chosen charities to help make the association a success.
We operate a policy of supporting requests within a reasonable geographical vicinity to the Club.
The club will choose the charity to support at the beginning of each new season.
Llantwit Major AFC is a family club open to all and we make every eort to make everyone feel welcome when they come to Windmill Lane.
The Club will not tolerate unacceptable conduct at Windmill Lane or at away football stadiums.
Unacceptable conduct brings the Clubs excellent reputation into disrepute.
It is recognised that football is a passionate game and supporters will have their own way of expressing their support and reactions. This is acceptable and welcomed as it often adds positively to the match day experience.
Llantwit Major AFC expects all of our supporters to conduct themselves in a way that represents the values of the Club. Conduct which jeopardises the safety and enjoyment of others or is likely to bring the Club into disrepute is not acceptable
and will not be tolerated.
